The WEDDING DRESSES OF Queen Victoria's Daughters Part Two
The WEDDING DRESSES OF Queen Victoria's Daughters Part Two
Princess Louise
As for the attire, Louise adorned herself in a resplendent white silk wedding gown embellished with deep flounces of Honiton lace, strewn delicately with flowers. Trimmed with fragrant orange blossoms, ethereal white heather, and verdant myrtle, the gown boasted a train harmonizing seamlessly with the ensemble. Atop her head, a wreath intertwined with orange blossoms and myrtle crowned her, while a short wedding veil of her own design, crafted from Honiton lace, gracefully adorned her visage. Secured in place by two of the three exquisite diamond daisy brooches gifted by her younger siblings, Prince Arthur, Prince Leopold, and Princess Beatrice, the veil exuded a regal charm. These dainty brooches, now in possession of Princess Michael of Kent, formerly belonged to her husband, inherited from his mother, Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent. Louise's fondness for her great-nephew, Prince George, Duke of Kent, and his wife, Princess Marina, is evident, as she bequeathed several jewelry pieces, including the cherished diamond daisy brooches, to Marina upon her demise in 1939.
Princess Beatrice
Princess Beatrice's wedding attire was a breathtaking masterpiece, meticulously crafted to exude regal elegance and timeless beauty. Her gown, fashioned from the purest white satin, was a vision of sophistication and grace. Delicate orange blossoms, white heather, myrtle, and intricate lace adorned the gown, adding ethereal charm to its already exquisite design. Lace adorned the gown's pointed neckline and cascaded down the sleeves, a testament to Beatrice's adoration for this delicate fabric. Her affinity for lace had grown to such expertise that Queen Victoria bestowed upon her the honor of wearing the cherished Honiton lace veil from her own wedding day, a privilege reserved solely for Beatrice among her siblings.
Atop Beatrice's resplendent locks rested a crown of fragrant orange blossoms, intertwined with a glistening diamond circlet adorned with radiant stars-a heartfelt gift from her mother, Queen Victoria. Her ears glimmered with diamond collet drop earrings, while a diamond collet necklace graced her neck, featuring a magnificent diamond cross pendant. Adorning her ensemble were an array of sparkling brooches-a diamond bee, a diamond rose, and a grand diamond butterfly, each adding a touch of opulence to her attire.
Her wrists bore the weight of precious jewels-a wide diamond and sapphire bracelet, a token of affection from her beloved groom, and a collection of five bangle bracelets, some adorned with dazzling diamonds, others fashioned from simple yet elegant gold. Among the insignias of her illustrious lineage, Beatrice proudly displayed the Order of Victoria and Albert, the Crown of India, the Gold Lion of Hesse, the Royal Red Cross, and the distinguished Saxe-Coburg and Gotha family order.
In her resplendent ensemble, Princess Beatrice radiated a timeless beauty and an aura of regal sophistication, embodying the epitome of grace and refinement on her wedding day.

Very interesting. Thank you!
You’re so welcome
None of these siblings had anything like a "crazy" life.
If she had deep Christian values helping the poor, the needy, using her influence as queen things would not have happened to them igniting French Revolution ?
Mary of Teck.
Hi, awesome live history video I enjoyed it. All your live history videos are always enjoyable. Have a great day see you next video 😊
💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Thank you for this wonderful video ❤
You’re so welcome x
Live without him? She secretly married John Brown. She loved Albert to the point of worship. Once she finally passed all that laying out of his cloths was undone by King Edward.😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ voleurs voleurs
It could be the royals did alot of really weird stuff and kept it quite too.
Its Tek not Tec.
TECK
We can only be grateful that Queen Elizabeth II, was never as self absorbed as Queen Victoria was.
Victoria!! The "Lights Were On" But There Was "No One Home"!!
Queen mary did more to save the monarchy than she gets credit for! Amazing lady
OMG again, Alexandra’s dress and veil, unbelievable
Omg, it’s exquisite. Love these Monarchs, unbelievable.
Sophia Dorothea sounds like she may have also had coronary artery disease
The pronunciation of the words are horrendous..
Thank you 🙃
@@PastPeople I Agree!! Disgusting Sounding Language!!
Glad you like my voice 🥰
She hid a 52 in screen in that dress.
It's ROYAL Not VOYAL!!
It's THRIVING Not PRIVING!! Why Can't You Talk Right??
Tag the time of the video… let me see 😂
I did have a cold during this video but I still hear thriving 🤷🏼♀️
what are they more then a lot of blingbling...
Queen Mary not only safe guarded the monarchy, she's also the reason the monarchs have such an incredible collection of jewelry. When the Russian revolution occurred, many of the aristocracy, AND the new communist government, sold off their spectacular jewelry at rock bottom prices. Queen Mary snatched them up promptly. So much of the royal collection is directly tied into much of the history of Europe. She was a grand ole Dame whom Queen Elizabeth used as her role model, and she was ardent student!
Crohns and typhoid are two distinctly different diseases!!
See comment below
But what does the room look like now? Is it part of the rooms open to the public?
This piano is deafing it's so interesting but I can't take the stupid piano
Beautiful
At 0:43 you mention that typhoid fever is now known as Crohn's. This is not true. Typhoid fever also known as enteric fever is caused by salmonella bacteria. As with Crohn's, they aren't sure what causes it, but it could be a virus or bacteria, also it is common among people who have family members with it, pointing to a genetic link.
What I meant was: he is now known to have died of complications from crohns not typhoid fever.
ah ok, it sounded like you said that the disease typhoid is now known as Crohn's
Yes I noticed that, apologies for the confusion!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love her Majesty's taste in jewels, how she took back the emeralds that her brother gave to his mistress, how she rose above the ridicule of her obese and 'poor' mama and how she was devoted to the monarchy. She gave no quarter to the woman who had the misfortune of marrying her 1st son, The Trator King ( Edward XIII ) .
She will be turning in her grave to see everything she worked so hard for destroyed by Cowmilla parkup bowels 😢
She will be turning in her grave seeing how Tampons is ending the monarchy 😢
Born into any royal family back then...maybe even today too...is a curse more than anything else. Arranged marriages, mostly to their own cousins, women were imprisoned or separated from their kids. So these kings could prove something. George the 1st was one of the worst. He should never have been king of anything and couldn't even speak English. I swear, the more I read about the history of them, the more I see where today's horror stories originate from.
WHEN I USED TO SEE PICTURES OF HER, NEVER SMILING, SERIOUS, I THOUGHT SHE WAS SNOBBISH. THAT COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED WHEN I LEARNED SHE WAS PAINFULLY SHY.
It could also be part of a habit that she has from early photograph techniques. They always had you pose not smiling cause you have to hold it for several minutes. If you look at old photos in the mid to end of 1800s everyone poses like that. It was just too hard to keep a smile and always make sure you're in a comfortable position because if you moved it blurred the photograph. This continue in to the early 1900s out of habit. Even as photography became better people still held on to this just because that's the way all pictures were taken for so long.
Why you will never leave this solar system
Mary of Teck is my favorite royal from the U.K.She had amazing taste and was able to acquire quite a few large diamonds.
THE BEST QUEEN THAT england had in a 100 years!,❤
Known widely as 'Mad May'
By whom? I have never ever heard that, nor can I find anything to corroborate what you say, where did you learn this?
@@jackieporter5323 by everyone who knew her, it's well recorded
My great grandfather times 5 abandoned those terrible times. They were horrid people and misinformation about them favoring them spread across the world. Many starved and froze to death in the street's. Thankfully lies are hard to cover. And you can easily look at the head stones of the people and slowly expose the truth of their time. These were greedy nasty rulers who did not care. The truth about history is covered up by lies, and glorifying them by people who are very comfortable about lying. They were terrible people and anyone glorifying them are just as bad. Go look at the headstones in that time frame, look up the common people skip the one's who wore grand clothes. Lots of people who survived and fled wrote of their horror. Sold themselves to ship yards. Very YOUNG children were forced into work houses never seeing their families. Sleeping in door jams. Many people who visited wrote about it.
This video forgot to mention Queen Elizabeth the 1st and her half sister Queen Mary of tudor
'Princess Margaret was known as “Daisy” to her family, her mother was Princess Maria Anna of Anhalt and her father was the nephew of the German Emperor Wilhelm I.' WHERE DO YOU DO YOUR RESEACH!!!
You really need to watch your pronunciation on some words my dear!!!
Oh, this is not right. Full of errors.
As much as i love history i found that the delivery of this was not engaging and left me bored. I ditched after 6 or so minutes preferring to read about this subject on my own. Sorry😢😢
I wonder if she felt strange marrying the younger brother of her original fiance.
I really like this series❤
I’m so glad to hear! 🥰
Excellent video! I really liked it very informative!
It’s so amazing and beautiful that Mary’s one and only daughter the Princess Royal was by her side when she passed, the the same way her granddaughter’s (Lilibet aka Elizabeth II) only daughter and Princess Royal was by her side in the end.
Yes your comments were a reminder to me. What an incredible Woman she was. 👑🇦🇺
He is an awful husband
